Authors. — a.k.a. Grami & O’Pa McAdoo – children books pseudonyms
Authors’ Bio:
High school sweethearts Ron and Caryl McAdoo began writing in the late ’80s, discovered DFW Writers’ Workshop in ’93, and now have nine titles for adults and children, fiction and non, published by four presses. They share their journey to success and teach elements of creative writing to audiences large and small including writers’ groups, seminars, public and private schools, libraries, and civic organizations.
Caryl also edits for writers and authors coast-to-coast, illustrates children books, and writes songs while Ron farms and cuts Bois d’arc fence posts. A big portion of their everyday is also spent caring for their quarter horses, donkeys, Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, dogs, and cats.
They have four children and twelve grandsugars – four of whom they are rearing. The McAdoos recently moved from their lifelong home – Irving Texas – to Lydia in Red River County and love the country living. The Lord has opened the doors for them to have “A Believers Gathering at Lane’s Chapel” each Saturday at 4 p.m. just south of Clarksville, and they founded the Red River Writers’ Workshop that meets in Clarksville. For every good blessing, they credit their relationship with Jesus Christ.
We have 9 titles published from 4 houses including The Adventures of Sergeant Socks.
